Looking for other guitarists to jam on anything Dead. Love the old -timey acoustic stuff of Garcia and Grisman, but open to play any Dead tunes. Jersey Jam is a friendly low key open jam format for all levels of singers and musicians. We meet at the Robin's Nest in Linden, NJ which is a Blues Club. The majority of the songs performed as a courtesy to the venue are blues based. We go off the reservation though to perform Jazz, R&B, Rock, Funk, and some original material in addition to the blues. Usually each person attending the jam gets to call a 3-4 song set. This meetup caters to an advanced beginner/intermediate level player. The jam happens every SECOND and FOURTH MONDAY of the MONTH -- even when I forget to post it on the site. As the jam has evolved, I have hired a rotating group of leaders who lead the jam from 7:30-9:30. This means that I must charge a $5.00 fee, so we can pay a leader.
